A TACO KIT ‘bien chingón’!

Con lockdown y sin lockdown, ahora podemos comer tacos cualquier día, a cualquier hora y sin tener que hablarle a nuestra mamá, o a la tía, o a la madrina porque no nos acordamos de la receta completa.
Uno de los “new kids on the block” de la cocina mexicana en Londres es “Chingon” y debemos decir que no solo de nombre, si no de sabores y ahora de Meal Kits.
Tienen 3 opciones: Veggie Feast, Barbacoa Box y The Smokey Box, en pocas palabras, para todos gustos y tamaños.
En los HQ de mexibrits, tuvimos la oportunidad de probar el Smokey box y nos sentimos en pleno verano haciendo un asado en el jardín, aunque el clima dijera que estábamos a 10 grados.
El Meal Kit incluye carnitas, y un slow-smoked bone-in Beef Short Rib con marinado de chile ancho, y por supuesto todas las guarniciones necesarias, ensalada de nopalitos, 3 opciones de salsas (de la más picante a la menos) frijolitos, tortillas, guacamole, totopos y hasta una botella con margarita lista para servir en un vaso con hielos.
La caja está planeada para dos personas, pero la verdad es que nos soborno bastante comida, así que fácilmente podría ser para 3 o hasta 4!
Te explican de manera muy sencilla como preparar la comida y el tiempo de preparación es mínimo, tardamos más en poner la mesa que en prepararlo todo, ósea que aunque no se te de la cocina, ese día vas a cenar como si te hubieras graduado con honores de alguna escuela de gastronomía y lo mejor es que la puedes pedir que te la entreguen en cualquier parte de Reino Unido!

With or without lockdown, now we can eat tacos any day of the week, andy time and without having to call our mum, or auntie, or godmother to ask her about a forgotten recipe.
One of the new kids on the block in London is “Chingón” meaning very super cool, or super good in Spanish, they not only serve great tasting authentic food in their restaurant but also now deliver Meal Kits.
They have 3 options: Veggie Feast, Barbacoa Box and The Smokey Box, in a few words, for everyone and everybody.
At Mexibrit HQ, we had the opportunity to try the Smokey Box and we felt we were enjoying a Mexican summer making some carne asada in our back garden, event though baby, it’s cold outside.
The Meal Kit includes carnitas, and a slow smoked bone-in beef Short Rib with a chile ancho marinade, and of course all your lovely, and necessary sides, such as cactus salad, 3 x salsas (from spicy to mild), frijolitos, tortillas, guac, tortilla chips and even a bottle of margarita ready to serve on ice.
The box is planned for two people, but thankfully, you can have some next day leftovers as it’s so generous.
They explain in a great way how to prepare your kit and it takes little time to get ir ready, we took longer setting the table than to get the food ready! So even if you can’t cook, you will dine like you have just finished culinary studies and the best part is that you can order it for delivery anywhere in the UK.
