Dia de Muertos Altar Competition 2023
The Embassy of Mexico in the UK and Mexibrit are excited to invite you to the Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) Altar competition!

- Post a photo of your 2023 altar on your Instagram account feed before the 3rd of November. Remember to tag @embamex_gbr and @mexibrits
- Share the post on your Instagram stories.
- Describe your altar and tell us to whom is dedicated adding the hashtag #DiaDeMuertosUK23
- The first photo on your post must show the whole altar. You can then add more pictures to highlight details.
There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners chosen by a panel of judges and a special mention prize to the most liked altar tagged with #DiaDeMuertosUK22 and mentioning @embamex_gbr and @mexibrits Instagram accounts where winners will be announced on 5 November.
PRIZES:
1st Place
2 nights accommodation for two at Hotel Caribe in Mérida, Yucatán with transfers to and from Merida airport to the hotel, entry for two to Dzibichaltun archeological town, a bottle of Ojo de Dios Mezcal and £150 to spend at any El Pastor Restaurants in London.
2nd Place
A Wahaca £150 Voucher, a copy of the book ‘Meat free Mexican’ by Thomasina Miers, 2 tickets to see LILA DOWNS in London’s Barbican Centre on 12 April and a bottle of Ojo de Dios Mezcal.
3rd Place
A £50 Mexican Mama voucher for Mexican products of your choice, a box of Mexican ‘pan dulce’ worth £50 by Sweet Nibble Bakery and a bottle of Ojo de Dios Mezcal.
