Mama Reyna – Mex Christmas Market

Meet Mama Reyna taking part at 2020’s Mexican Christmas Market.

Mamá Reyna Ltd is 6 years old and was born in the heart of Britain. The simple wish of enjoying true Mexican chilli sauces started it all. We offer the most popular traditional chilli SALSAS: chipotle, guajillo, pasilla, verde, mole poblano, jalapeño pickles with veggies, and soon to arrive is SALSA MACHA!!

Along the years, we have participated (under all kinds of weather!!!) in festivals, chilli sauce tasters, farmer markets and private events, and we even have dressed up as Victorians for a Dickensian Christmas Market.

In 2014 we entered a cooking competition where we had the opportunity of cooking along well-known Chef Cyrus Todiwala, getting third price. This was so inspiring.

‘I have been in the UK for over 30 years and my Mexican blood runs in my veins prouder now than ever. That is why I love brining a bit of Mexico to the tables of foodies who enjoy adding a spark to their meals.  Before Mamá Reyna, I spent most of professional life in academia and research, always in a topic related to food, as I am a Food Engineer, MSc, PhD.

What I really love about Christmas is how the houses, the streets and the cities dress up in colourful lights, it brings me so much joy.’
