El Pastor & Coal Drops Yard welcome back the

‘Mexican Christmas Market’ this season for the 5th year.

11am – 7pm FREE

El Pastor, MexiBrit and Coal Drops Yard will host a vibrant and fun Mexican Christmas Market, curated by Paola Feregrino for the fifth year running, from 29th November to 1st December.

The market is a celebration of Mexican Christmas traditions in addition to the country’s artisanal and culinary heritage. Stalls will offer a vast array of authentic Mexican ornaments, arts, crafts, clothing, jewellery and much more to inspire your Christmas gifting. Should the shopping work up an appetite, there will also be stands selling Mexican snacks such as sopes, tamales, churros, traditional sweet breads, hot chocolate, in addition to Mexican products available to cook at home. For lunch, dinner or a few festive margaritas, El Pastor will also be open for lunch and dinner as usual.

A Mexican spirit of vibrancy and festivity will characterise the market with a variety of performers participating over the three days. These will include live music by Mariachi El Mexicano, a unique Mexican cowboy exhibition with Franco Covarrubias, traditional dance with This is Mexico Dance Group, a Sonidero collective dance session with The Original Sonidero Soundsystem and piñatas for the family.

The market is casual and un-ticketed, held outside of El Pastor Coal Drops Yard from 11am to 7pm. El Pastor Coal Drops Yard is part of small group of Mexican restaurants located across London founded by Crispin Somerville and Sam Hart. Inspired by the decade the duo spent in Mexico City running cult nightclub Colmillo, El Pastor specialises in tacos and tostadas, with tortillas made in house daily from Mexican heirloom maize.
